WE BELIEVE

We believe in the existence and reality of God, eternal, having no beginning and no end. He has made Himself known to us equally as God the Father (Creator), God the Son (Savior), and God the Holy Spirit (Comforter). We believe there is one Lord, one faith, and one baptism. (Matthew 3:16-17; Matthew 28:19; John 10:30; 1 Corinthians 8:6; 2 Corinthians 3:17; 2 Corinthians 13:14; 1 John 5:5-7)

We believe that we exist as a result of a six-day creation process and that we are made in His likeness and image. God created the genders of male and female only. After the creation of Adam and Eve, life now    begins at conception in the female womb. (Genesis 1:1-2; Genesis 1:31; Job 1:21; Psalm 22:9; Isaiah 44:24; Jeremiah 1:5; Luke 1:31; Galatians 1:15)

We believe that sin entered humanity through rebellion against God by Adam with Eve. As a result of sin, all mankind took on a sin nature with a heart of total depravity. All of creation is now under its weight of and suffers as a result of sin, as our spiritual connection with God was severed. (Genesis 6:5; Psalm 40:12; Psalm 141: 4; Obadiah 1:3; Matthew 9:4; Matthew 12:35; Matthew 15:19; Romans 7:14-20; Romans 8:7-8, 22)

We believe the only hope and remedy for man’s sin is salvation through Jesus Christ. To be saved we must repent and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. We are saved by grace through faith in Christ Jesus. All power and authority resides in Jesus Christ and He is the only way to the Father. Death without true salvation results in permanent, eternal separation from God, described in scripture as the “wages of sin”; and this judgement is the punishment for rejecting the saving work of Jesus on the cross. (Psalm 106:8; Matthew 19:25-26; John 10:9; Acts 2:21; 4:12; Acts 15:11; Acts 16:31; Romans 5:9;   Romans 10:9, 13)

We believe that Jesus, the only begotten Son of God, came to dwell amongst us as a man by means of a virgin birth. He lived a sinless life and died a redemptive death as a substitutionary act for our sins. His death serves as the propitiation, the satisfactory payment to God, for our sin debt, to redeem us, forgive us, and restore our relationship with our Heavenly Father. (Psalm 32:1; Matthew 12:31; Luke 1:35; Acts 26:18; Romans 5:8; Romans 8:2; 1 John 4:10; 2 Peter 1:17)

We believe salvation in Christ alone grants us forgiveness from all our sins; past, present, and future. We are given the promise of eternal life with God in His everlasting Kingdom after this life, as well as the indwelling of His Spirit for the remainder of this life on earth. (Luke 5:32; John 1:29; John 14:16-17; Ephesians 3: 17; Ephesians 2:8-18)

We believe the indwelling of the Holy Spirit brings about transformation, sanctification, and gives us God’s comfort and guidance in how we think, act, and grants us the strength to live honoring Christ. (Psalm 143:10; Romans 8:9-10, 14; Romans 12:2; Galatians 5:16; Galatians 5:25; Ephesians 4:23; Colossians 3:10)

We believe that after we have put our faith in the Gospel or “good news” of all that Christ did for us, we are to share that saving Gospel with all that will hear. That Gospel is the miraculous birth, sinless life, matchless ministry, sacrifice and suffering, appeasing death, bodily resurrection, heavenly ascension, and soon coming return of Jesus as God and King of Glory. Our witness of Christ is substantiated by the unity of our fellowship as the body of Christ. (Matthew 28:19; Mark 1:15-16;8:35; Mark 13:10; Acts 14:7; Romans 1:15-16; 1 Corinthians 1:17; 2 Corinthians 4:3)

We believe in the inerrancy and infallibility of God’s Word, the Holy Bible. That it is the breathed and inspired words of God, dictated by human hands, preserved beyond our human error as the source of absolute truth. It is by the preaching of the Word of God that mankind is afforded the opportunity and given the knowledge of salvation. We will trust and follow the scriptures to govern us in all matters of direction and guidance. (Matthew 26:54-56; Mark 1:15; John 1:1; 1 Corinthians 1:18; 1 Corinthians 15:4; 2 Timothy 3:16)

We believe that faith and work operate together. Works does not earn salvation or favor with God, but Kingdom work is the result of salvation. We believe gifts and calls to those good works are given by the Holy Spirit. (Romans 4:3-5; Romans 11:29; 1 Corinthians 12:4; 2 Corinthians 5:7; James 2:20-26)

We believe in following the examples and directions of Christ in baptism, the washing of one another’s feet and the sharing the Lord’s table. (Matthew 3:11-17; Matthew 28:19-20; Mark 14:3-9; John 13:13-15; 1 Corinthians 10:21; 1 Corinthians 11:23-30)

We believe we are many nations, many cultures, with many languages, but we are one race from one blood. Christ died so that all people might be saved because He loves us all. All racism is sin, and we are directed in scripture to love and live in peace with one another. (John 13:34; Romans 12:3, 10, 18; 1Thessalonians 4:9; 1 Peter 3:8; 1 John 3:11; 1 John 4:11)

We believe that true biblical marriage exists between one man and one woman. That marriage is designed by God for two evenly yoked believers under the blood of Christ, and that physical intimacy is reserved for after the union of that marriage. (Genesis 2:21-25; 2 Corinthians 6:14; Hebrews 13:4; Ephesians 5:21-33)

We believe that biblical leadership (Pastor supported by elders), exists to equip the saints or believers, for the work of ministry. (Jeremiah 3:15; John 21:15-17; Ephesians 11:13; 1 Timothy 5:17; 2 Timothy 1:11; Titus 1:5, 7-11; James 3:1; James 5:14)

We believe that collectively, true followers of Christ Jesus are to operate as the body of Christ, and like a body, we have many members, with varying functions, but only one purpose. That purpose is to bring glory to God through our unity of faith in Jesus Christ. (Psalm 133:1; Romans 5:4-8; Romans 12:5; 1 Corinthians 10:31; 1 Corinthians 12:12-27; Ephesians 4:3; Philippians 2:11)
