SALVATION
The Human Problem - Sin
Romans 3:23 - "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;"
This verse tells us that all people have sinned and are in rebellion against God as King and Creator, and thus fall short of God's glorious standard. The first step to being released from the punishment of eternal damnation is to admit and recognize that our heart is evil and we have rejected God’s authority over our lives.

The Consequence of Sin
Romans 6:23 - "For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."
This highlights the consequences of sin - death, which means eternal separation from God in hell. However, it also introduces the solution - the gift of God, which is salvation and eternal life through Jesus Christ.

The Solution - Christ's Sacrifice
Romans 5:8 - "But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us."
Despite our sins, God demonstrated His love for us through the death of His Son, Jesus Christ, who died in our place as a sacrifice to pay the price for our sin and disobedience. Jesus was born of a virgin, lived a sinless life, and willingly died on the cross for us to be released from God’s wrath and punishment because of our sin nature.

The Response - Faith
Romans 10:9 - "That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved."
Salvation is received by God’s grace through our faith in Jesus Christ by repenting or turning away from our sinful choices and confessing Jesus Christ alone as Lord, believing that He not only died, but that His resurrection or rising from the dead, was God accepting His sacrifice. Through salvation, we are forgiven of all our sins and given the indwelling Spirit of God to change our heart and transform our lives..

The Assurance of Salvation
Romans 10:13 - "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved."
Salvation is available to all who repent and believe, putting their faith and trust in Jesus. Once we have surrendered our life and will to Christ, we are to live the remainder of our life honoring God and being a witness to others of God’s love, sharing the path to salvation with all who will hear.
